With that in mind, a new Your Phone update is rolling out that provides a bunch of more advanced features. For example, there is a new What’s New screen and the ability to delete images across devices within the app. Looking at the What’s New screen, this will appear in the Your Phone app following an update. As you may guess, it breaks down some of the new features included in each update. Microsoft says this ensures users know what tools are available to them and how to use them properly. Next up is the ability to delete photos on your phone from PC. Needless to say, it is much easier to navigate and manage image files with thousands of photos with a mouse than it is touchscreen on a smartphone.

Becoming Important
Microsoft also has another handy ability. Specifically, there is now a toggle for Your Phone that allows the app to run at startup. This is a welcome addition that frankly I cannot believe has taken this long to arrive. It also points to the service’s growing importance to Windows 10. Much of that importance coincides with the release of the Surface Duo. Your Phone is more advanced on Android and as the Surface Duo is based on Android’s platform, the app will play a big part in Microsoft’s push for business users. The new features are currently rolling out in stages.
