This means 1:1 calls and group calls will now be transcribed so users can head back to see information on what was said. Microsoft has been planning this feature for some time. Back on September 8, the company put the feature on the Microsoft Teams roadmap. It is now rolling out to all users on Android, with no word whether it comes to iOS. It is worth noting Teams on both iOS and Android can already transcribe meetings (since July), but it is now coming to calls. Users can now track conversations and read them later from a video meeting or audio. “This promotes inclusivity for participants who have hearing disabilities or different levels of language proficiency. Attendees who joined late, or missed the meeting, can easily catch up by reading what was discussed from the transcript.
Message Translation
Also this week, Microsoft has brought Intelligent message translations to users on Android and iOS. With Intelligent message translation, Microsoft Teams on mobile can provide translations for messages sent during a chat. Messages translate from the preferred used language to one of over 100 languages Teams supports. “When collaborators are chatting in different languages, the intelligent message translation feature uses their account preferences to inform the user when they would benefit from translation, and then personalizes chat translation behavior,” says Microsoft. Tip of the day: The Windows Clipboard history feature provides the functionality across device, space, and time, letting you copy on one computer and paste the text days later on a different PC. All of it is possible via the Windows 10 clipboard manager, which lets you view, delete, pin, and clear clipboard history at will. In our tutorial we show you how to enable the feature, clear clipboard history, and enable/disable clipboard sync to meet your preferences. You can also create a clear clipboard shortcut for quick removal of stored content.
