Another similar feature is also in development, but it will be for all users, not just freelancers. It was once again found by reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong, who posted a screenshot of the tool in action. Similar to Services, job seekers will be able to show interest in a job listing to recruiters. Wong only showed this running in LinkedIn on the Android platform, but we presume it will be available on other platforms too. The ability to signal interest in a job will only work for organizations that you have added a job alert for.
— Jane Manchun Wong (@wongmjane) April 29, 2019 By the looks of it, the idea behind the feature is to give you more presence in front of organizations. Hiring companies will be able to see more about you without having to visit your profile. For companies, the time saved will be valuable and could allow a more efficient way of finding talent. LinkedIn is currently testing the feature, which means you’re not going to see it on your device for some time yet.
Services
Services is a similar feature we discussed last week. This will aim to match freelance websites by allowing users to find business, individuals, and project managers who are seeking services based on skillset. On Services in LinkedIn, you will be able to add which services you work in. Unlike dedicated sites like Upwork, LinkedIn will do all the work for you. The platform will connect you with clients who are looking for the services you provide.
